Not all roots stay buried. Some carry memory like light.
GENESIS IN ICE is a virtual dreamspace built in Unity and Blender — a poetic prototype that planted the first seeds of The Garden and, later, Sonic Planet.
A frozen biome of translucent trees, hexagonal memory paths, and bubble-fruit that float skyward, Genesis in Ice emerged from a recurring dream:
A Tree of Life whose fruits do not fall, but rise — drifting into the universe until they find the star they belong to.
Though this was my first experience using Unity, I brought to it a long creative career — and it became the glacial skeleton upon which future worlds would form.
Elements from this piece evolved into:
- The reflective bubble materials of The Garden – BUBBLES
- The vertical motion and levitation mechanics
- The soft presence of AVA as a floating, voiceless guardian
- A lasting narrative tone of silence, rebirth, and perception
Created during a brief collaboration under the name duet 2112, this project remained unpublished until now — but its influence still shimmers beneath Sonic Planet.
